The blue gate of 1913, the main way into the medina, tiled blue outside and green within. It frames the minarets of the Qaraouiyine and Bou Inania.
Founded in 859 by Fatima al-Fihriya, it is regarded as the oldest university still running. Its courtyard can be seen from the doorways off the medina.
A fourteenth-century Quranic school, the only one in Fez with its own minaret. Carved cedar and zellij tilework cover every single wall of its courtyard.
